The Benefits of Researching a Writing Project For School

The Benefits of Researching a Writing Project For SchoolAs a teacher, I always encourage my students to take some time to research something to write about for school. When we are presented with this seemingly simple task, we sometimes worry about the depth of our own research, but in the end we are relieved that we did not research everything that could be relevant to our current projects. Students often ask why they should spend so much time researching something to write about for school, and I think the answer to that question is, really, anything and everything. The Internet is a great resource. It can be a wonderful source of information, especially if you do your research properly. You may find a great resource that would otherwise remain untapped. If you have to do a Google search, you will be amazed at what you find. In addition, most of the best websites are free and open to the public.Researching what you think people might be interested in doing or have done is another pla ce to look. There are probably tons of things that you may have never even heard of. Things like secret societies, conspiracy theories, politics, fringe religions, and other topics that might be of interest to your students.Sports can also be a great way to research a topic to write about for school. In many cases, you will get far more results than just general information. Often, you can uncover sources that are quite specific to the topic that are not available to the general public. For example, if your students are interested in the history of football, they can check out the online archives of newspapers and other resources for examples of great games that were played in various parts of the world.Don't research just any topic though. You want to do what is appropriate for your student's class. If you research too much, they will feel as if you are reading about them all the time. If you do not research enough, they will not be motivated to learn about any new items that come their way.Let's say you are planning to do a project on the history of sports, and a great way to research this topic is to start with something that they are already interested in. If you are teaching history of science, the world may be your oyster. Maybe they are big into sports, maybe it is history, but there is a great opportunity to dig up all sorts of information on all sorts of subjects. You may find a great story in history that you never knew was already being told.Maybe you would rather use the traditional classroom approach to studying but still get the most out of the opportunity. Students love the opportunity to be a part of a collaborative project. They will be so excited to talk about their findings and discuss them with you and the rest of the class. You will soon realize that you will be able to cover a lot more ground than you ever thought possible. However, the challenge lies in finding these gems, as there are certainly plenty of places to look.Of course, whatev er topic you decide to research for your writing project, do not get too bogged down in the research. Remember that students love the ability to be involved and brainstorming is very important. You can even hold a research meeting or small seminar for your students after the project is complete, to share some of the information you have uncovered and give them a chance to discuss the findings with you.

Argumentative Research Paper Topics

Argumentative Research Paper TopicsArgumentative research papers are great, especially for early career academics who already have a problem with the validity of their research. Argumentative research papers enable academics to take a position and have it debated. By doing this they can argue both against and for their arguments, which makes them more real than simply producing 'research'.Most argumentative research paper topics are drawn from the known and proved theories, theories that are accepted by the academic community as existing. It is considered acceptable research practice to use the found papers to support your arguments, by analysing the known findings and learning how to work out how the findings support your theory. The research papers usually draw on other published or unpublished research that is valid or invalid, and the point is to show that the research validates or invalidates your theory.Because some of the arguments are often valid arguments, it can be a diffic ult and sometimes unpleasant task to ensure that the research is not invalidated. The argumentation should demonstrate why your argument stands up, and it should show that the results of the study can be used to support your hypothesis. The general rule is that you should only argue if the research proves the hypothesis. If the research shows that the hypothesis is false, then you should state this clearly in the paper and use the results to support your hypothesis.Obviously if your paper contains valid arguments it is very likely that you will be called upon to comment on other work and you will probably not get to argue in the first or second argumentation. Your students should also receive several applications before you are called upon to debate an argument. If your colleagues have a history of debate, the likely outcome will be that they will politely admit to debate and move on.It is extremely useful for the argumentative research paper topics to demonstrate that the argument is based on sound research. As an academic you should regularly check the validity of the research and all research to look for areas that need to be investigated. Many academic papers use papers that take up a couple of pages of the student's paper. One of the great advantages of the argumentative research paper topics is that you can argue about an issue and bring the issue up in an academic meeting and then simply discuss it in an academic meeting. This is especially useful if you are an older academic who has plenty of work to do, but has no extra time to do it.The problem with the argumentative research paper topics is that there are not many of them. Research papers on the topics normally are argued in a student-initiated academic meeting or after having used the research paper topics in an oral discussion. As an older academic, this is likely to take time away from you and in terms of making up for lost time you can do some much better by arguing about research issues with you r colleagues.

Custom Form For Sample Essay Printing

Custom Form For Sample Essay PrintingHave you ever noticed that most Michigan business establishments do not promote a lot of samples at their service desks? It is surprising for them to do so, since sample essays should be a staple product offered by them. That said, some businesses are satisfied with the productivity gain they get by limiting their number of samples to those that are selected by them. Other businesses, like those who offer sample portfolios as an extra benefit, do not mind the lower level of offering samples since it improves the visibility of the product and the service provider. The standard treatment for sample essays is that they must be given out at the request of the customers who are about to receive the service or product. Those who choose to have these products being handed out need to have them ready for mailing by the time of the first call to the company. Customers will more likely call the office when they have received their samples in the mail, rather than expecting them to arrive in person. An obvious way to increase the number of sample essays that are received by customers is to provide them with the brochure. The sample essay may be printed on the brochure, but this brochure can be used as a guide to make the essays personalized for each customer, since this brochure contains the name and the contact information of the local offices and their addresses. The only drawback of such documents is that some customers will not want to have personal essays, because they do not want to open up the documentation box when they call. This, of course, makes them wonder if there is any way to make this personal to customers. In order to take care of this problem, it is advisable to ask for the permission of the customer to have the essay printed as he wishes. The custom forms that can be found at a local document printing shop are always helpful in getting the sample essay printed even before the custom forms have been signed. Of course, it will be best to go to the custom forms creator prior to ordering the essay to ensure that the printing has already been done.If the customer is willing to have the essay printed on paper, that is fine. In this case, the custom forms should list the paper that will be used. That way, customers can use what they want. In addition, there is nothing to be concerned about in terms of privacy concerns. In order to finish the custom forms, the customer should also specify that he wants the essay to be printed. Finally, the custom forms creator should accept the forms to be printed.

Meaning of feminism

According to my interviewee who is an activist, feminism is a movement that seeks to empower the female gender. The movement began in late 18th century thus championing against oppression directed towards women. It sought to eliminate rape and gender based cruelty, which are rampant.Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on Meaning of feminism specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More These evil tendencies have limited the capability of women to achieve their full potential. In essence, shunning and neglecting the capability of women in most sectors has resulted limited their ability to accomplish their potential. The feminist movement is vocal in western countries where women have made significant strides in attaining equality (Kensinger 186). Nonetheless, the movement has failed to shun criticism. Critics have asserted that the movement’s ideologies have resulted in increases in divorce rates and the proportions of father less children. Indeed, I agree with the interviewee on the goal of such a movement, which entails empowering the female gender on all fronts. Although, my interviewee believes that the movement ought to be more radical and aggressive, I disagree with such thoughts because it would tear the foundation of the society, which is marriage. This is because men would feel threatened. Indeed, it is outstanding to foster the participation of women in society. Despite not being an inactive participant in feminist activities, I am a believer in their course and values. This insinuates that, I conform to feminism tendencies. Indeed, the movement has fostered human rights that relate to a gender, which was widely overlooked. Involvement in the movement The interviewee, a renowned feminist has participated in a variety of activities with the intent of promoting feminism. The interest group has hosted various seminars, which have primarily aimed at educating women on the position in society. Such seminars have encouraged women to explore divisions previously dominated by men. Enhancing women’s rights can only be successful when anchored by appropriate legislation. The above legislations would entrench affirmative action that would give women more opportunities. Affirmative action would ensure that distribution of jobs and resources is equitable. The interviewee participated in multiple rallies that aimed at creating awareness among members of the public. Being a conservative believer in feminism, I have not participated in many rallies. The rallies are for a worthy course because they have enabled women to compete equally with their counterparts by changing their mentality. However, it is imperative that the goals of these seminars are reasonable thus giving realistic hope on possible changes that would occur if feminism continues (Gardiner)Advertising Looking for essay on social sciences? My interviewee asserts that the most significant change is entrenchment or women’s rights through various legislations thus fostering human privileges. Previously, the law did not effectively protect women. This is against rape and violence but these new legislations have reversed the trend by issuing unsympathetic penalties to violators. Evidently, the prevalence of rape and marital violence cases is decreasing. Therefore, feminism has succeeded in significantly reducing rape and marital violence incidences against women (Gardiner). Feminism has been critical in fighting for fiscal empowerment. This means that they challenge women to take up position that were dominantly masculine. This has changed the top managements in the recent past with the entry of women into such positions. This means that women can equally challenge and pursue high-income jobs (Bulbeck 27). Feminis m focuses on empowering the female gender in various areas and politics is not an exception. Leadership was primarily in the hands of men, and the few female leaders selected were representatives of women. However, now the Congress contains more women in various capacities. This realization has resulted from concerted efforts from voters and the government. Significant changes are evident on the fiscal, collective and biased fronts due to feminism. Nonetheless, the interviewee thinks that for feminism to accomplish its goals many changes need to occur. Feminism and health According to my interviewee, feminism had significant impact on health because it has championed for allocation of additional resources to hospital for research on some ailment that affect women. This has led to development of new medicines that have saved lives of women thus reducing mortality among women. Furthermore, the interviewee asserts that feminism has led to significant change in the workforce in the heal th by encouraging many women to take up medicine a sector dominated by men (Blackford Street 668). Rich Caucasian women receive the best medical care because of their race and their resources since they can access the best medical care. Conversely, poor nonwhites receive unsatisfactory medical care. Therefore, rich Caucasian ought to have the highest life expectancy. Capitalism has contributed significantly to this situation because health care is not uniform allowing those are well off economically to receive preeminent medical care. It had to fight this discrimination and the only way to do it is by bridging the economic gap, which is one of feminism’s goals. Learning of cultural trends has been pivotal in researching on some diseases and the way it spreads.Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on Meaning of feminism specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More Impacts of feminism on women’s self-identity Previousl y, women remained at home caring for the family and doing minimal economic work. Very few women took up employment and men constituted a big proportion of employees. However, this tendency has changed, as women are educated and empowered. This means that they can now compete effectively with men. These changes influence women thus altering their identity. The modern woman is sophisticated, aggressive and intelligent. In addition, she can now assume responsibilities held by men (Bulbeck 27). First, women and men should equal chances in this society and secondly, women have a crucial role to play and need protection because they are vulnerable. How Important is the Media in the Investigation of Serious Crime Research Paper

How Important is the Media in the Investigation of Serious Crime - Research Paper Example The underlying goal is accomplished by the collection of accurate data in response to a particular crime or act that contravenes the law. Criminal investigation process involves initial descriptive steps where the investigator gives an in-depth description of the things and people that are present in the crime scene without making inferences concerning the crime or the person present. Consequently, the investigator then gathers evidence, documents, and reviews every element while analyzing all particulars regarding the crime scene cautiously and categorically (Palmiotto, 2013, p.4, 5). In the instances of serious crime, a recital of the police as detectives in most cases remains pronounced to the public. The figurative role of the Corps in the war against crime remains upheld for scrutiny and valued by the media besides being recognizable by the previous police agents. These police agents can find employment within private media organizations whose work is to ensure that there is enhanced delivery of â€Å"inside track.† Additionally, the corps read views and pay attention to audiences in ascertaining the origin and significance of particular criminal occurrences. Serious crime investigation concerning the media has become a very important component.  The circumstance  has remained identified and accredited by Home Office research as an essential skill needed by senior investigative officers (Newburn et al., 2007, p.160). Newburn et al (2007, p.160) ascertain that media in the presence of serious crime can be used to offer assistance to the generation of data. Further, it  acts as a link between the public and the audience as a means of reporting the investigations carried out on crime.

Hiding Behind the Screen Roger Scruton Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words

Hiding Behind the Screen Roger Scruton - Essay Example There are numerous old fashioned methods applicable to pass messages, which seem to be absent. Since the present day generation youth use mobile phone devices for communication, they lack opportunities to stand judged by an individual they communicate with on the other end.   Roger Scruton recommend-fashioned pile should not avoid accountability at any cost. Scruton makes this statement because he feels that people use mobile phone devices as a medium to evade accountability and judgment of the other parties involved in the communication. Certain virtues such as love and integrity are absent in communication due to the use of mobile phones and social media. People lack the opportunity to achieve a mutual understanding of certain individuals due to use of social media. There are instances where one finds it difficult to understand another individual due to the belief that there exists a certain complexity between them (Dooley 68). The difficulty to understand according to Roger Scru ton is because there is a lack of mutual judgment. Hiding behind the screen means that people have the capability to maintain control over the communication encounter, either through social media or through a mobile phone device. The virtue of justice is achievable through one’s ability to witness the modes of judgment from other people through communication. The essay emphasizes that such virtues become absent within the present day society due to the availability of controllable modes of communication.... The virtue of justice is achievable through one’s ability to witness the modes of judgment from other people through communication. The essay emphasizes that such virtues become absent within the present day society due to the availability of controllable modes of communication. The society finds it difficult to determine the kind of person that they deal with since there is little opportunity to judge people through communication. The presence of mobile phone devices contributed towards the refusal of people to stand judged by other indi viduals (Dooley 68). The essay suggests on the various ways that certain virtues that are applicable in communication become irrelevant with the use of mobile phones. The face-to-face encounters are important to the relevance in communication. When people converse face to face, there are better chances to acquire different aspects about the individuals as they communicate. An individual is able to minimize another person’s point of view through the potential to retain control over the communication encounter. The communication criteria experience different challenges in accordance to the modes that are applicable. The old fashion of communication is unavailable due to the advancements and alterations witnessed in technology. The influence of social media and communication
